Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Taleem ul Quran (accessible via taleemulquranhome.com). These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you (whether personally or on behalf of a minor, referred to as the “Student” or “Parent”) and Taleem ul Quran (referred to as the “Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, booking a free trial, or enrolling in our paid premium classes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using our educational services.
2. Registration, Accounts, and COPPA Compliance
To ensure a secure and personalized learning environment, proper registration is mandatory.
- Accurate Information: During the enrollment process, parents or adult students must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for updating your contact information (email address and WhatsApp number) to ensure seamless communication regarding classes and billing.
- Protection of Minors: In strict compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), all account creations, billing setups, and primary communications must be handled by a parent or legal guardian for any student under the age of 18.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials, Zoom links, or Skype IDs provided to you by the Academy.
3. Payment, Billing, and Subscription Policies
Our financial operations are designed to be transparent, predictable, and secure for our global student base.
- Advance Monthly Billing: All tuition fees are billed on a monthly, recurring basis. Fees must be paid in advance, prior to the commencement of the first class of the billing cycle.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept secure online payments via major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and Stripe. The Academy does not store or process your sensitive credit card data on our internal servers.
- Late Payments & Grace Periods: If a monthly payment is not received by the due date, we offer a 3-day grace period. After this period, the Academy reserves the right to temporarily suspend the student’s classes until the outstanding balance is cleared. Repeated late payments may result in the loss of the student’s reserved time slot.
- Fee Adjustments: The Academy reserves the right to modify tuition fees. However, any fee changes will only apply to new billing cycles, and existing students will receive a minimum of 30 days’ advance notice before any price adjustment takes effect.
4. Class Scheduling, Attendance, and Punctuality
Punctuality is a core Islamic value, and we expect both our teachers and students to respect scheduled class times.
- Punctuality: Students are expected to log in to the virtual classroom (Zoom/Skype) exactly at the scheduled time.
- Late Arrivals: If a student is late, the teacher will wait in the virtual classroom for up to 15 minutes. If the student joins within this window, the class will proceed for the remaining scheduled time. The class will not be extended beyond its original end time to compensate for the late arrival. If the student does not join within 15 minutes, the class will be marked as a “No-Show” and will be fully billed.
- Student Absences & 12-Hour Notice: If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a class, parents must notify the Academy’s administration (not just the teacher) at least 12 hours prior to the class start time. Classes missed without this prior notice are not eligible for makeup sessions or refunds.
- Teacher Absences: If a teacher is running late or is absent due to an emergency, the Academy will notify the parents as soon as possible. In such cases, the Academy takes full responsibility for arranging a makeup class at a time that is convenient for the student.
5. Makeup Classes and Teacher Substitution
- Makeup Class Limits: To maintain a structured curriculum, makeup classes are highly encouraged but must be completed within the current or following billing month. Accumulating endless makeup classes is not permitted.
- Right to Substitute Teachers: While we strive to maintain consistency by keeping the same teacher for a student’s entire course, Taleem ul Quran reserves the right to assign a substitute teacher temporarily or permanently. This may happen due to teacher illness, resignation, or internal quality restructuring. We guarantee that any substitute teacher will be fully certified and meet our strict quality standards.
6. Strict Code of Conduct & Direct Contact Policy
To protect the privacy of our staff and the integrity of our Academy, we strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding unauthorized outside communication.
- No Direct Contact: Students and parents are strictly prohibited from asking for, sharing, or exchanging personal contact information with teachers. This includes personal phone numbers, WhatsApp, personal email addresses, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media profiles.
- Communication Channels: All communication regarding scheduling, progress, complaints, or general inquiries must be routed exclusively through the official Taleem ul Quran support email or official WhatsApp admin number.
- Immediate Termination: If a student, parent, or teacher is found violating this direct contact policy, or attempting to arrange private classes outside the Academy, Taleem ul Quran reserves the right to instantly terminate the student’s enrollment without any refund, and take appropriate legal action against the employee.
- Behavioral Standards: Mutual respect is mandatory. Any use of inappropriate language, verbal abuse, or disrespectful behavior towards our staff or teachers will result in immediate termination of services.
7. Public Holidays and Vacations
- Islamic Holidays: The Academy observes major Islamic holidays, specifically Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. Classes scheduled on these specific days are considered paid leaves for our teachers. While these are non-refundable, we try our best to accommodate makeup sessions based on the teacher’s availability.
- Student Vacations: If a student plans to take a long vacation (more than two weeks), parents must inform the administration in advance. To hold the student’s specific time slot and teacher during a long absence, a retention fee may apply. Alternatively, the student can pause the subscription, but the same teacher and time slot cannot be guaranteed upon return.
8. Technical Requirements & Responsibilities
Providing high-quality online education requires technical cooperation from the student’s side.
- Equipment: The student is responsible for maintaining a reliable internet connection, a functioning computer or tablet, a high-quality headset with a microphone, and a webcam (optional but recommended for better engagement).
- Technical Outages: Taleem ul Quran is not liable for classes missed due to internet outages, power failures, or hardware issues on the student’s end. These classes will not be refunded, though administrators may offer a makeup class purely as a courtesy, subject to availability.
9. Limitation of Liability and Educational Disclaimers
- Educational Outcomes: While we provide expert, certified tutors and proven teaching methodologies, learning the Quran, mastering Tajweed, or completing Hifz requires significant personal effort, practice, and revision outside of class hours. The Academy does not guarantee specific timelines for course completion, as learning speed varies uniquely from student to student.
- Platform Security: We use reputable third-party software (Zoom, Skype) for our classes. We are not liable for any data breaches, technical faults, or security issues originating from these third-party platforms.
10. Modifications to Terms and Conditions
Taleem ul Quran reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in our operational policies, legal requirements, or service enhancements. We will notify active students of any significant changes via email. Continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms.
